the Aquatory
posesses a wide range of capabilities and resources that will contribute to a favourable future scenario for human development.
The first forms of life originated from the ocean, and, at present, this environment still has vital importance for maintaining the bio balance on Earth.
The main focus of research is the architecture in the aquatic environment, which is a significant means for solving problems at the local and global urban planning level with a view to humanity’s effective utilisation of the aquatory. In turn, the latter requires even more resources, higher residential comfort, increasing functional and aesthetic criteria in the urban environment and it also creates the necessity to use new urban spaces.
the Aquatecture
is the science and art of the creation of objects related to the artificial remodelling of the natural environment with taking into account the functional and aesthetic requirements and criteria which substantiate the safe and comfortable living in buildings located entirely, partially or in close proximity to an aquatic environment.
The population’s concentration in coastal areas in past eras and at present indicates the future direction for the development of humanity and settlements. The adequate and sustainable utilisation of the surrounding aquatory will contribute to solving social problems caused by overpopulation and overcoming the global warming effect and the rise in the worldwide ocean level, which poses a danger of significant urban planning difficulties.
The appropriate aquatory utilisation will contribute to developing new perspectives and expanding urban planning ideas, which should be sufficiently predictable and prepared for the rapid increase of the human population in the XXI century.
